This month I was looking to write about the new version of HMC as the first HMC 4.5 TAP drop was released on January 25th, 2008 to the TAP partners.

I see a lot of excitement around this ".5" version as it will enable the next level of collaboration: Instant Messaging conferencing, Voice and Video (VV), VV Conferencing based on PC and more!

But before writing about this new release (expected by end of May 2008) I think it is worth to recall the roots of HMC which has never seen a version "1.0" (to demonstrate its robustness... :-) but has started directly at Version "3.0"!
